Also because of my previous experience there with the hotel being very clean. ![]() I chose to stay here this time because it was the best rate for the hotels in the complex at that time. The hotel is clean and comfortable and there is an indoor pool. But there are lots of options close by like TGI Fridays and there is a Starbucks in the Marriott which is right in front of this hotel. I heard they have dinner on some nights but not during the weekend which didn't really make sense. But I felt like they handled it very well for the amount of people that were there, especially on Saturday/Sunday morning. There is only one waitress and one cook so sometimes it can take a little while to get your meal. You have to pay for breakfast but you can order what you want from a menu. Most didn't speak or look up from what they were doing unless you spoke first. The front desk was not unfriendly but they did not go out of their way to be friendly, like they did the last time I was there last year. Nothing really stood out with this stay as it did with the last time I stayed there. There is a free shuttle from the airport which makes things much easier. I've stayed at this hotel and several others in the hotel complex there. Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn/Midway airport for 3 nights for a weekend trip. Now, all was not lost on the issues we had. To anyone reading this - if you don't like a firm bed, look for another hotel! I would liken the comfort level of the bed to throwing a blanket on the floor and sleeping there. Speaking of the bed.this brings me to the 2nd issue we had with our room. We left the windows open while we went out to explore the city and the room felt a little better when we returned, but it was not comfortable for us to sleep because of noise, temperature, and the bed. We did this, but even on the 11th floor, the amount of noise we could hear from outside was ridiculous. I called the front desk and they confirmed that the hotel is all on one heating/cooling system with no thermostats in the rooms. There was a wall fan (like many hotels have) in there and it was turned on but did absolutely nothing to change the feel in the room. Our room was hot and stuffy when we arrived. ![]() I had high hopes for this hotel because of the location and a few of the ratings I read before booking.but our experience was not at all what I expected.įirst, the hotel doesn't have thermostats in each room.
